RE:CXNNECTED eliminates this. Each cable consists of two components: a Y-Split that connects to your headphones, and a Core Cable that terminates at your amplifier, DAC or DAP. These join via a secure push-pull balanced connector, allowing you to swap configurations in seconds without repeatedly stressing the connectors on your equipment.

Build your system around the headphones and sources you own. A single Core Cable terminated in 4.4mm Pentaconn can connect to Y-Splits for your Sennheiser HD800 series, Audeze LCD-X and Focal Clear. Acquire a new amplifier with 4-pin XLR? Add a Core Cable rather than replacing everything. The modularity means your investment grows with your collection rather than being replaced by it.

available configurations

Y-Splits are available for most major headphone brands including Sennheiser, Audeze, ZMF, Focal, HiFiMAN, Beyerdynamic, Meze and Dan Clark Audio. Core Cables can be terminated in 4.4mm Pentaconn balanced, 4-pin XLR balanced, 2.5mm TRRS balanced, 6.35mm single-ended or 3.5mm single-ended. All components are hand-made in London with premium connectors from Furutech, Neutrik and Viablue.

single 3-pin mini XLR

For AKG and Beyerdynamic headphones — K7XX, DT1990, DT1770. It is not possible to make these cables balanced without modifying your headphones first. Clicks into place and releases via a latch button. Only Switchcraft connectors are currently used for these cables: gold-plated copper contacts in a nickel-plated copper alloy housing.

dual 4-pin mini XLR

Most commonly used by Audeze; also fits Meze Empyrean and ZMF headphones. Clicks into place and releases via a latch button. Available from three manufacturers:

Rean — the industry standard, and likely the connectors your Audeze headphones came with. Gold-plated bronze contacts in an aluminium and zinc housing. The rubber boot helps with strain relief and keeps these connectors lasting.

Switchcraft — the original: Switchcraft first introduced the mini XLR. Silver-plated copper contacts in a nickel-plated copper alloy housing. The latch action is smoother than the Rean.

Furutech — very similar to the Switchcraft, with rhodium-plated contacts.

dual 3.5mm

Used by all recent HiFiMAN and Focal headphones — other manufacturers may use different wiring schemes, so please get in touch if you’re not sure. The most common type of audio plug. It doesn’t matter whether the individual plugs are stereo or mono — they’re all wired the same — and every option fits the recessed sockets on HiFiMAN and Focal headphones.

Amphenol — gold-plated brass contacts in a die-cast zinc alloy housing with a chrome finish.

Rean — gold-plated contacts in a nickel-plated brass housing.

Viablue — 24k gold-plated contacts in a matt black aluminium housing.

Furutech — rhodium-plated contacts in a stainless steel housing.

Used only by the Sennheiser HD6XX, HD600, HD650, HD660S and HD58X. Cxnnected cables use gold-plated copper contacts in a matte black aluminium housing; the right channel is marked by a red connector.

Used only by Dan Clark Audio headphones. A secure push-pull locking mechanism for ease of use. Gold-plated copper alloy contacts in a zinc alloy housing with polished and matte finishes; the right connector is marked by a red circle.
